Mikael Wahlman, representing the Korpikylä Riders, is a familiar face on show jumping courses. “Miksu” started his career at a riding school, and initially competed in dressage. Then he found show jumping and the rest is history. At the age of 14, Wahlman jumped the first 140 cm class.

Wahlman started regular riding in 2001 when he was nine years old. He started competing in the same year with the ponies from the riding school. With his first small pony, Neran V, Wahlman reached gold in the Finnish championships. Aged 19, Wahlman won the Finnish championship for Seniors. Wahlman also has Finnish Juniors Championships with his horse Prestige. Nowadays Wahlman’s family runs the Korpikylä Riding Center’s riding school. Wahlman’s own horses live in Korpikylä, and he also provides training there. Wahlman is successfully competing in show jumping around Finland.
